Zofia's language acquisition seems to go in phases. Since she has been talking, she has used various different sounds or words to indicate agreement. Each one lasts at least a few days up to a few weeks. I'm not sure I have them in correct order, but pretty close I think...
First there was DA - this apparently was the Russian phase. Then there was HAI - the Japanese phase? Then there was YA!, which morphed into YEAH (said in a very laid back, happy surfer style). After that came GI - maybe someone knows the language of origin here - maybe Vietnamese? The latest (and this has been in effect for at least a week) is OK. She uses this in every situation as yes, sometimes shortening it to 'K. It is adorable.
I can't wait to see what is next.
